Grant Venner has been a commercial semiotician since 2000

Prior to this he spent ten years in marketing roles, first at Pilkington Glass, then at Kraft

In his spare time he is an avid reader and culture junkie

He has swum competitively and is a regular open water swimmer. He was part of a successful channel relay crossing in 2012, and swam to France and back in a 4-person relay in 2013

Grant is passionate about environmental issues and is a founder member of Ealing Transition, a group concerned with adapting to climate change and future energy scarcity. He grows his own food, makes his own bread, and is presently learning beekeeping
